Cascara Sagrada is a stimulant laxative. Exactly how Cascara Sagrada works is unknown, but it may work by irritating the bowel tissue and drawing fluid into the intestines, resulting in a bowel movement. Cascara Sagrada can also be used for intestinal tract.
